The BeyondYou Method, in one person

Hi,

Last week I said I would walk you through The BeyondYou Method, and I actually sat down and wrote the whole thing out. Then I read it back and it sounded like a brochure, so I deleted it. Here is one client instead.

Twenty nine years old, and the thing they said in the first hour was that they were stuck in a loop they could not get out of. Weekends with no real sleep, nothing cooked at home, nights that ran long, and then Sunday afternoon through Wednesday night spent paying for it. Bloated after most meals. A fog that never quite lifted. Out of breath on the stairs, at twenty nine.

So we looked at all of it at once. The full intake, a food sensitivity panel, and bloodwork their own doctor ordered and read. The panel came back high on dairy, gluten, and egg. LDL was around 200, high enough that the doctor started talking about medication.

Then we took things out. They came in expecting a plan and the first thing we did was subtract. A couple of weeks in they called me to say the afternoon crash had stopped, and that they were waking up before the alarm without meaning to. Nothing had been added yet. We had only taken away.

After that, we built. Three sessions a week, one on one, starting light and getting heavier as the body could hold it. Easy runs underneath it at a pace where you can still talk. Food built around whatever the panel left standing, and sleep protected before anything else.

It did not go in a straight line. It never does. There were weeks it fell apart, and every time it did, I was there, and every time I said the same thing. We are not going to explain it and we are not going to feel bad about it. We get back on the road with as little damage as possible, and we keep going.

The trap in those weeks is looking sideways. You stop for a minute and the cars you passed go by again, and you start keeping score. There is no score. There is also no I should have done this or I could have done that. There is only getting back to the work. Nobody is running your race, and you are not running theirs. This only works at your own speed, and everything moving past you is just scenery.

Ninety days later LDL was under 130 and their waist was four inches smaller.

Those are the numbers. What they talk about is a clear head, and the fact that it has not left since. They told me it felt like a different life. We are past a year now and still walking.

If you want the method itself rather than one person's version of it, I wrote it out properly here: walkbeyondyou.com/method

Their doctor ordered and read every panel. Nothing here is medical advice, and every reading is different.

More next Friday, and it will be about loving yourself, which is where all of this actually starts.
